uThukela District Municipality

uThukela District Municipality is located in the KwaZulu-Natal Province of South Africa. It is one of the province’s 10 district municipalities and is named after the Tugela River, known in Zulu as uThukela. The district spans an area of approximately 11,500 square kilometers and includes five local municipalities: Alfred Duma, Inkosi Langalibalele, Okhahlamba, Umtshezi (which has since been incorporated into Inkosi Langalibalele), and part of the Emnambithi-Ladysmith region. This municipality is a vibrant region known for its rich cultural heritage, diverse economy, and scenic landscapes, which make it a vital area within KwaZulu-Natal.
